Circus Children Enjoy Consistent Care Over Summer Hols

So many UK parents are breathing a sigh of relief that the summer holidays will
be coming to a close in the next few weeks. Summers can be very difficult for
parents if their little ones don’t attend a nursery or preschool that’s open year

Here’s a recent article from The BBC reporting that there is insufficient holiday
childcare in two-thirds of local authorities in England, Wales and Scotland.

However holiday cover just isn’t a problem for Circus parents. We are open 52
weeks of the year, with the exception of Bank Holidays and Christmas closure
week, so even during the summer holidays our children are busy learning and
having fun whilst interacting with their peers taking part in the vast number of
amenities and activities at Circus; for example, MAC computers, ukulele lessons,
the sensory room, French lessons, the large outdoor garden, the animal area and
the forest school. There is always plenty to keep the children busy, and it is very
much child initiated.

Circus parents enjoy the convenience of being able to take time off work to go on a family holiday whilst retaining their childcare space.  They don’t have to worry for the rest of the summer about childcare cover.  Their children are placed back in the hands of long standing staff members of a nursery/preschool that’s been established for over 15 years, in Cheltenham. We then are able over the summer to continue the work we do year round developing children to be independent thinkers, whilst building confidence and self esteem and preparing them for the next chapter of their journey.

So how do things change at the beginning of September for children who have
been at Circus over the summer? Firstly we say a fond farewell to children who
are moving onto school. This is celebrated by the nursery hosting a wonderful
leavers BBQ and Ceremony for our Circus Graduates, which takes place on Friday
31st August. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend, as this is a
thank you also for your support and dedication to Circus.

Current children and new children in attendance will at this stage be in
preparation for the move according to their respective age groups and learning
environment and the fun begins all over, commencing on Monday 3rd September.

We make this transition as easy as possible for you and your little ones so look
out for our next blog post that will go into more detail about how to prepare your
little ones, and yourselves for a new year at Circus.

Keep an eye out for the next blog post that will provide some tips and pointers on
how to facilitate a smooth transition.
